Bio
Joshua is a Public Health Development Specialist in Nigeria. He Co-founded African Health Education and Development Initiatives (AfriHEDI) in 2014 as a Community-Based Non-Profit Organization that supports communities in implementing Maternal and Child, Gender-based Violence and HIV/AIDS interventions through funding from International Donors, and trust funds. After receiving his BSc in Microbiology and MSc in Medical Microbiology from AAUA (2010) and the University of Benin (2019) respectively. He has worked in the programs, M&E department and as an Independent Consultancy for USAID, US CDC, The Netherlands Embassy in Nigeria, World Bank, Global Fund and BMGF funded projects designing, implementing, evaluating, and conducting research to improve program deliveries in Nigeria and other parts of Africa. Currently, He works with an NGO where he provides technical support to the Federal Ministry of Health, National Primary Health Care Development Agency and States Primary Health Care Development Agencies in Six States in Nigeria on Infant and Child survival interventions that aim to reduce infant and Under-5 morbidity and Mortality. He has a lifelong vision of reducing the easily preventable health issues among Women, Girls, and Children in Africa. Working with eDGH has been a wonderful way to improve his leadership, facilitation, and Capacity building skills around health as a way of fulfilling his vision.
