Jamia Wasili is a Malawian living in Neno district and Blantyre City, Malawi. She is a Senior Human Resources Officer for Partners in Health/Abwenzi Pa Za Umoyo, an international organization that focuses on providing quality health care to the vulnerable in mostly hard to reach areas. As an HR practitioner, learning and development is an essential part of her profession, hence, she facilitates and coordinates staff development initiatives in different fields and levels, all in an effort to contribute towards the provision of quality healthcare in Malawi. After attaining her BA in Humanities at the University of Malawi, Chancellor College, she ventured into teaching and later moved in to the human resources management spectrum. She has worked in Human resources management roles for over 6 years. She is currently pursuing an MBA and is excited about growing her management skills. Being a learning and development champion at her organization, she coordinated the the first eDGH course hosted at the organization in 2019, and she has continued to coordinate the courses ever since. The courses have encouraged participatory discussions at all levels as the site meetings comprises of staff members from all ranks.
