Ermel Johnson is public health physician, health policy and system researcher, a research associate at the School of Public Health and Epidemiological Surveillance (ENATSE) at University of Parakou, Bénin Republic. He completed his medical studies at the Faculty of Medicine of the University of Ouagadougou in Burkina Faso. He then obtained an IDRC scholarship for his master’s degree in Population and Health, major Research in Population and Health, which was topped by a UEMOA Excellence Scholarship. He continued his professional training with a Certificate of Competence in Implementation Science at the School of Public Health, University of the Witwatersrand in Johannesburg, South Africa; and certificates from the online training programme of eDGH, University of Washington, Seattle, USA.
He aims to share the unique training opportunity and experience that the online training programme of the Department of Global Health at the University of Washington, Seattle offers to practitioners and managers at various levels of the health system in Benin, with language support, networking and creating a community of practice.
