Dr. Joshi hosts a site JSPH_India and has been a coordinator/ site facilitator since 2015. Throughout the course, his site holds weekly meetings to discuss ways to improve their area of expertise. You can get in touch with him via email if you're interested in taking an eDGH course. Preference is given to people already associated with public health institutes, but there is frequently room for new participants who are eager to learn and excel.

Bio

Dr. Nitin Kumar Joshi is a passionate public health academician, researcher, and consultant dental surgeon having more than 15 years of teaching & research experience in public health. After completing his dental degree (BDS) and MPH he earned a Ph.D. in community medicine and public health from the All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS), Jodhpur which is an institution of national importance established by an Act of Parliament. He currently works at the School of Public Health, AIIMS Jodhpur, and is also a visiting faculty (Associate Professor) at JSPH. He has experience in mentoring national and international students and managing research grants & projects including WHO, ICMR, Bloomberg, and TATA grants, and vaccine trials. He also holds the credit of developing and facilitating public health courses like MPH, BScPH, mHealth boot camp, Executive Program in Public Health Policy, Leadership & Management, etc. Dr. Joshi has published book chapters and several research articles in peer-reviewed journals. He has memberships in several organizations and societies including the International Union against Tuberculosis and Lung Diseases, the International Epidemiology Association, the Nutrition Society of India, the Indian Dental Association, and the Indian Public Health Association. He has been invited as a speaker at various national and international platforms and was also selected as a mentor for MIT COVID 19 Challenge for mentoring teams to build solutions to turn the tide of the COVID19 pandemic in India. He received the young scientist award at the Indian Council of Medical Research (DMRC Jodhpur) and was also invited to contribute to ongoing research at Western Diabetes Institute, Western University of Health Sciences, CA USA. Working with eDGH gives him a sense of accomplishment and satisfaction, because eDGH provides opportunities for personal and professional growth, making a difference, and building relationships.
