Infection Prevention and Control (IPC) Training Package

Comprised of 10 courses, the Infection Prevention and Control training package helps healthcare professionals understand and implement the WHO revised IPC guidelines. Foundational topics include standard precautions such as hand hygiene and personal protection equipment, transmission-based precautions, and injection safety. Advanced topics cover leadership skills and project management, antimicrobial resistance, and healthcare-associated infection surveillance. Much of the content was adapted from in-person trainings. The courses have been migrated to the OpenWHO platform.

Audience:Healthcare professionals who work or intend to work as an IPC focal point at the national, subnational, or health facility level (may include IPC professionals, IPC hospital teams, facility administrators, hospital epidemiologists, microbiologists, and other relevant healthcare professionals).
