Bio
Abdurrasheed Ola is a Nigerian, a Biomedical Scientist, Lecturer and Coordinator for Isotopes Educational Hub, a new online educational institute created to increase the level of public health literacy in the country. He is a BOT member of Zhe’ar Medical Diagnostics Centre, a specialist private Laboratory located in Ilorin, Nigeria.
After receiving his B.MLS (Histopathology), he worked for six years as a Senior Medical Laboratory Scientist with the University of Ilorin Teaching Hospital, Nigeria. During this period, he registered and completed his Fellowship programme and became a FELLOW of the Medical Laboratory Science Council of Nigeria. Abdurrasheed earned his Master’s degree from University of Ilorin after which he moved to join the Department of Histopathology of the Usmanu Danfodiyo University, Sokoto, as a Lecturer. Ola’s PhD journey later took him to Makerere University, Uganda, where he worked with some public health professionals and later developed interest in the field. He is currently a FELLOW of African Institute of Public Health Professionals (FAIPH) and he’s working as a lecturer and a public health biomedical scientist. Connecting with eDGH has helped him to build and tailor his career towards global health issues.
